While it is difficult to accurately predict the occupations that will emerge in the near future, the key competencies for the digital economy are easy to identify. In an increasingly globalized and technological world, in urban contexts of high population density, where virtual life experience competes with the physical one, creativity, resilience and social intelligence are skills as important as skills in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
